Sadiq Khan takes swipe at WWE icon as he reveals what his wrestling name would be

MyLondon asked him earlier today Thursday, April 25 what his name would be if he were to step into the ring. In his response, he threw some shade at wrestling's greats

Mr Khan said during a visit to the BIGKID Foundation in Brixton: "I think I'd be The Rock Squared. The Rock's ok, but I'm The Rock Squared; I'm better than The Rock." He did not like the sound of MyLondon's suggestions: 'Khanage', 'Clean Air Khan', and 'The Khannon'.

Dwayne Johnson, who is now also a Hollywood movie star, appeared at WrestleMania 40 earlier this month. The mayor says he would campaign for London to host the first every overseas iteration of the event in the future.

His team says that last year’s event, which was held in Los Angeles, had a $215 million economic impact for the wider area. The combined impact of the 2016 to 2023 events was $1.2 billion.

Khan 'full of beans' ahead of polling day

It comes as Mr Khan takes on rivals for London's mayoralty next week. Asked how he was feeling ahead of polling day -the result will be announced on Saturday, May 4 -the mayor said: "Great, I did an eight-kilometre run this morning. I'm full of beans.

"I love this part of the campaign. It's a close two-horse race, as I predicted. A close two-horse race. Only two people can be the mayor -a hard-right and divisive Tory candidate who hasn't said boo to a goose over the last 14 years when they've cut our police, they've cut our youth clubs, they've cut the NHS, they've cut the schools budget, or...
