Forest product company Svenska Cellulosa AB (SCA) (STO:SCAB) reported on Friday that its net profit was SEK704m, or EPS of SEK1.00, for the second quarter of 2019, from 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019.
This was a 37% decline over net profit of SEK1108m, or EPS of SEK1.58 in the second quarter of 2018.
Net sales for the quarter were up by 3% to SEK 5,228m, as compared with SEK5,076m in first quarter of 2019, which mainly related to higher delivery volumes for pulp, kraftliner and wood. During the quarter, pulp production increased by 22%, as compared with the preceding quarter, which made a positive contribution to earnings.
