Scottish tourists heading to Spain warned of massive fines for urinating in sea

Officials in the popular resort city of Vigo have said that anybody who is found to be relieving themselves "in the sea or on the beach" will be punished

The city council has categorised it as a "minor infraction", as well as a "infringement of hygiene and sanitary regulations".

Those who are caught breaking this rule will be issued with a fine of £640, according to local media reports.

Additionally, the city is also reportedly considering introducing fines against people who bathe in the sea or leave trash lying around on the beach.
