Paper for hygienic and domestic use manufacturer Sofidel America announced on Monday that it is investing in a new tissue production line from Valmet (HEL:VALMT) a Finnish company that develops and supplies technologies, automation systems and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
Valmet's Advantage DCT tissue line, including automation, flow control valves, and Industrial Internet solutions for its Ohio-based Circleville mill, will operate at a design speed of 2,000 meters per minute and a width of 5.6 meters, with an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons.
Valmet's supply contract includes the Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine, OptiFlo headbox, Yankee cylinder, ViscoNip press, AirCap hood with Air system, WetDust systems, and a SoftReel reel. Valmet will also provide mill...
