Spain weather warning as tourists warned of 'apocalyptic' heatwave and wildfires

As reported by the Irish Mirror, an "apocalyptic" heatwave is spreading through European countries, with some seeing temperatures of up to 42 degrees Celsius

Spain, France, Italy, and Germany all saw a massive spike in temperatures over the weekend, which have caused wildfires in certain regions.

Spanish firefighters were battling flames in the northern part of the country on Sunday, with a particularly aggressive fire in the Sierra de la Culebra mountain range ravaging more than 62,000 acres.

Emergency services tended the blaze overnight, with the cooler nighttime temperatures helping to extinguish the flames.
