Sportamore AB (STO:SPOR), a Nordic e-commerce retailer for sporting goods, announced on Tuesday that it has opened up for business outside the Nordics.

According to the company, the first outside market to be launched is France, which is expected to occur during the second half of 2019. Start-up costs for a new market are estimated to fall short of SEK1m.

Since 2017, the company said it has actively pushed its strategic work to build a scalable infrastructure with a high level of automated processes, an example of this being the company's new automated warehouse solution. A result from this work is that Sportamore is now ready to launch new additional markets outside the Nordics at a minimal start-up cost.
