Stacey Solomon confirms son Rex, 2, is 'OK and stable' after overnight hospital stay

The mum of three, 31, who is currently pregnant, shared her fears on Instagram following the late night trip to the hospital.

The two-year-old suffered a "nightmare" fall last weekend and needed stitches, before he had to have an operation on Tuesday.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the mum-of-three told her 4.5 million followers that it had been the "longest, most emotional week."

She shared a picture of herself looking exhausted, wearing a face mask and just one fake eyelash, as Rex, who she shares with Joe Swash, cuddled up to her chest.

"Aw guys..." Stacey captioned the photo, adding two sad face emojis.

"We are back in triage because Rex's temperature has been spiking tonight.

"They're sure it's all OK but because he's little and post op they won't take any risks, so looks like we are in for the long haul tonight.

"It's been the longest, most emotional week."

"I honestly don't know how I've even got one eyelash still on," she finished the post, adding laughing and crying emojis.

Last Sunday, the two year old suffered a fall in the garden of the family's mansion, Pickle Cottage.

Stacey had initially thought it was nothing serious, but then had to rush him to hospital after realising he'd injured his face.
