Storedot, an Israel-based manufacturer of extreme fast charging (XFC) battery technology for electric vehicles, announced on Wednesday, October 4, that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Flex|N|Gate, a US-based global automotive component manufacturer.
This landmark agreement will see both companies collaborate to sample and scale up the commercialisation of StoreDot's extreme fast charging battery cells for electric vehicles. Samples of StoreDot's 100in5 battery cells will be produced next year at Flex|N|Gate Group's 'Flex-lon' lithium-ion cell pilot factory in Windsor, Ontario, while working with local automotive OEMs to produce cells with specified performance and formats.
