Sutton woman horrified to discover 'disgusting' earwig inside Sainsbury's peach mid-bite

Lisa Goldsmith was eating the fruit when she made a gruesome discovery mid-bite, an earwig had been living inside the peach -and you can guess what happened next.

At first, the full-time carer thought the creepy crawly was a cockroach, but on closer inspection, Lisa discovered it was in fact an earwig.

Lisa told MyLondon: "I felt very sick making this discovery. After I pulled the earwig out of my mouth, I could still taste it afterwards.

"I will shop at Sainsbury's in the future, but I will never buy fruit or any fresh produce from there again."

Lisa hopes by sharing her experience with others, people will think twice when buying and eating fruit.
