Over the past couple of years, the BBC One soap hasn't been short of captivating fans with jaw-dropping plots. But Monday's marathon episode April 22, warmed my cockles thanks to its raw emotion, pride and dry humour -it was like watching a live episode

The marathon storyline followed Jay Brown and Honey Mitchell taking part in memory of Lola Pearce Danielle Harold who tragically died last year of brain cancer. Before her passing, Lola signed Jay and Honey up for the challenge and they have been seen training on screen for the big day.

As Jamie and Emma approached the trio, they got into character as Jay and Honey and all shared a hug with an emotional glint in their eyes. Jay then shouts "For Lola" as he shakes Callum's hand and waves to the crowd as they continue with the race.

Meanwhile, Billy was having a nightmare as he tried to get to the finish line to propose to Honey...
