The fighting Smith brothers are a fantastic advert for boxing.

Four down-to-earth, working class lads who have put the graft in to elevate themselves to better lives through this great sport of ours.

The Liverpudlian family already boast a world champion as Liam defied the odds to capture the WBO super welterweight strap. Paul didn't quite manage a world title after two brave defeats by Arthur Abraham in Germany. It's not over for him yet, but after his loss to Andre Ward last year it does look unlikely he'll reach a world title now. Still, his is an incredible career to be proud of.

As is younger brother Stephen's, who in three weeks' time boxes Jose Pedraza for the IBF super featherweight strap in the States. We got the chance to witness Stephen box in Newcastle last year on the Matchroom bill at the Arena, and his battles through adversity show what a gutsy character he is too.

Perhaps the most talented of the lot, however, is the youngest too.
