Three Newcastle United stars may be tempted to ditch England allegiance after Scotland success; England may be about to lose some top Newcastle United talent due to Scotland's recent international success.

Scotland's new-found international success may entice a trio of Newcastle United stars to pledge their allegiance north of the border as the Tartan Army try to poach top English talent. Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento are all on Steve Clarke's radar as Scotland enjoy an international rebirth.

The Scots have qualified for the 2024 European Championships with two games to spare after fending off Norway in Group A. The nation have now reached back-to-back Euros and progressed through a qualifying group to reach a major finals for the first time since 1997.

With England boss Gareth Southgate recently unwilling to call heavily on Newcastle players such as Nick Pope, Anthony Gordon, Sean Longstaff and others, Scotland may provide regular, major tournament opportunities to some of Eddie Howe's current crop.

"We're always looking to improve it. We're always searching, don't worry about that," Scotland assistant and former Newcastle boss John Carver said when asked about poaching potential talent. "Whenever I go to a game I speak to people in the director's box, even fans sometimes, to try and find out if there's anyone out there.

"You have to search. Sometimes people come forward with information, but the information's not true. But you can never stop searching because you always hope to find a hidden gem.
