Tony Mowbray downplays Bellingham brother comparisons and says Jobe has 'amazing tools'; The Black Cats boss has been full of praise for his young summer addition.

Tony Mowbray says Jobe Bellingham doesn't want to be compared to brother Jude but has been told to go on to forge his own career in football. The Birmingham City academy graduate has grown up in the limelight of brother Jude, who's now taking La Liga by storm with Real Madrid, with many tipping the Sunderland midfielder for a similar trajectory.

However, the Black Cats boss has tempered expectations but says he's the right hands given the likes of Mike Dodds worked alongside Jude at St. Andrews' and helped him fulfil his potential.

"He is very mature for his age," Mowbray said following the defeat to Boro. "He acts like a seasoned pro, and demands standards even in small sided games he wants to win.

"You can see he has a very focused driven thought pattern on where he is going and how he is going to get there. And that is to try to be excellent in everything you do.

"It's a great mentality. It helps our team to have someone so young.
