Tottenham Hotspur issue fans update ahead of Nottingham Forest match after man killed outside stadium

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has said it is doing everything to assist the Met Police in its investigation after a man was stabbed to death outside its stadium early on Sunday morning April 7. MyLondon has approached police for confirmation on whether the investigation will compromise fans’ travel to this evening’s match against Nottingham Forest, set to kick off at the stadium at 6pm

It comes after a man was found unresponsive in Northumberland Park in the early hours. He had been stabbed a number of times, and despite CPR being administered he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taking to X, a club spokesperson said: “This afternoon's Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest will go-ahead as scheduled, however the whole of Northumberland Park Road and Vicarage Road, as well as the north end of Worcester Avenue, will remain closed throughout."

They added: “We shall update supporters as and when we can, and ask for fans to be patient and allow extra travel time.”
