Two Edinburgh children rushed to hospital after being hit by car on same road

Both incidents occurred on Calder Road on Friday, June 17, with the boy being hit just before 4pm and the girl being knocked down just before 7pm, with locals reportedly witnessing various police and ambulance crews in the area

Reports also suggest that the road, near Sighthill, was brought to a standstill temporarily while emergency services dealt with the both serious incidents

The condition of the two school children is currently unknown, with Police Scotland confirming they were both rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a child being hit by a car on Calder Road, Edinburgh around 3.45pm on Friday 17 June 2022.
