The United States Army has chosen GM Defense, a subsidiary ofUS-based automaker General Motors (NYSE: GM), to supply a battery electric vehicle for analysis and demonstration.
GM Defense is to use the GMC HUMMER EV, featuring GM's Ultium Platform, to meet the United States Army's need for a light to heavy duty battery electric vehicle to support decreased reliance on fossil fuels both in the operational and garrison environments.
