The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that it is upgrading its investigation into 830,000 Tesla vehicles with advanced driver assistance system Autopilot.
This step is required before the organisation can instigate a recall. The investigation began last August after around 12 reports of Tesla cars colliding with parked emergency vehicles, Reuters reported.
