Clean energy company Valoe Oyj (HEL:VALOE) announced on Tuesday the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Munich based Sono Motors GmbH to become a technology partner for the integrated solar components of the Sion, a self-charging electric car with solar integration.

Reportedly, this collaboration between Valoe and Sono Motors had started in 2018. Valoe's task was to co-develop for the Sion shaped solar modules, which generate efficiently electricity and are perfectly adapted to the design of the car using the technology Sono Motors has developed.

Valoe said that as a partner, it is now looking forward to strengthening the co-operation for future steps.

The company added that Sono Motors has published its plans that Sion will be manufactured in the former SAAB factory in Trollhattan, Sweden. The plan is to produce 260.000 Sion cars during the eight-year long life time. Sono Motors has more than 10.000 pre-orders for Sion.
