West Lothian police stop e-scooter rider on footpath without license or insurance

Road Policing Scotland say that they stopped an individual who was riding on an e-scooter on Queensferry Road

They say that the person was travelling with no licence, no insurance and was using an unregistered vehicle on a public footpath.

Officers only observed the incident after they had come into the capital to deal with another enquiry.

Police have said that the rider of the e-scooter has since been reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in Edinburgh.

Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter on the morning of Saturday June 11 to alert the public of the stop, they said: "#LivingstonRP were in the Edinburgh area on enquiry when they observed an e-scooter being used on a footpath on Queensferry Road.
