The First Minister will address the Scottish Parliament to provide an update on the levels system currently in place across Scotland.

She'll announce which, if any, parts of mainland Scotland will be able to move down to level one from June 7. A decision will also be made on Tuesday or Wednesday over whether Glasgow is able to move down to coronavirus level two, having been stuck in tier three amid a recent rise in cases linked to the April 02 variant.

What time will the First Minister's announcement take place?

Sturgeon is currently expected to address the Scottish Parliament shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, although this is subject to change and we'll bring you all the very latest on this as we get it in our live blog.

Rather than the coronavirus briefings we've become so used to seeing, she'll deliver the update to MSPs in the chamber.

What will be announced?

The First Minister, and other senior Scottish Government figures, have already indicated it's far from guaranteed all areas across mainland Scotland will move down to level one on June 7.

It was reported on Monday that Health Secretary Humza Yousaf said rising case numbers in part of the country mean things are a whole lot more uncertain.
