Woman, 60, dies after being hit by car outside Lidl in Barking

Officers were called to the scene, on Ripple Road, shortly after 5pm on December 15.

A female pedestrian, aged 60, was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service following the incident, outside a Lidl supermarket.

She passed away today December 21, police confirmed.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident -particularly those with dashcam footage.

The vehicle involved stopped at the scene.

Detective Constable Anthony Okadigbo said: “I would firstly like to pass on my condolences to the victim’s family, it is incredibly difficult to lose a loved one in such circumstances so close to Christmas.
